Coach is an American luxury fashion brand known for its high-quality leather goods, including handbags, accessories, and footwear. Established in 1941, it has become synonymous with craftsmanship, timeless design, and modern sophistication.

The design task from Coach requires integrating elements of localism into the store’s design while preserving the core identity and concept originally developed by the brand's headquarters. The key is to adapt the store's design to reflect the local context of Beijing, blending Coach’s global aesthetics with the city's rich cultural, historical, and architectural influences.

The custom window display, inspired by the intricate stone carvings of Beijing's Forbidden City, features a traditional round moon gate shape symbolizing harmony.

Neon lights form stylized cloud motifs, representing Heaven, happiness, and good luck, creating an ethereal ambiance.

RESEARCH AND IDEAS GENEARTION

As the client requested a special local feature to be added to the store, I based my design proposals on Beijing-centered inspirations, ranging from classical architecture to the city's iconic kite-flying tradition.
As a result, the window design proposal, derived from the original sketch, was successfully implemented in the store and has been attracting the attention of visitors.
Additionally, the design for the entrance pillar was developed, with ceramic tiles featured as the focal element. These tiles reflect the traditional architecture of Beijing, emphasizing local craftsmanship
